Heating Help When Your Heat Goes Out
When the heat quits during a cold front, waiting around for answers is the last thing you need. We handle urgent heating repair requests in San Antonio with clear recommendations and straightforward pricing, whether the problem is a furnace, a heat pump, or electric heat. If the issue can wait a day, our heating repair service covers scheduled visits.
Upfront After-Hours Fees
After hours, our repair quote fee is $189, rising to $289 after 9 p.m. Any repair work is priced separately.
Honest Repair Advice
A breakdown isn’t automatically a reason to replace the system. We lay out both options so you can decide.
A Second Look at Any Quote
Already have a diagnosis or a replacement quote? We’ll review it and give you our view at no charge.
Fast Replacement
If replacement is the better route, same-day and next-day installation may be available, depending on scheduling and equipment supply.
Call First When the Heat Is Out
A phone call gets you an answer faster than a web form. We can tell you which appointment times are open for your address, and the form on this page is a follow-up request rather than a booked visit. Timing always depends on technician availability and what the repair involves. If it turns out the system needs replacing, emergency installation estimates can be requested after hours too.
Heating Problems That Shouldn't Wait
Plenty of heating faults can wait for a regular appointment. These usually can’t, especially on a cold night.
Not sure which group your problem falls into? Call and describe what you’re seeing, and we’ll arrange the appropriate appointment for your equipment.
Furnace Problems
- No heat at all when the thermostat is calling for it
- A furnace that starts, then shuts off again and again
- The blower running but only cool air coming from the vents

Heat Pump and Electric Heat Problems
- A heat pump blowing cool air while set to heat
- A system that runs but can't keep the house warm
- Heavy ice building up on the outdoor unit
- Backup or emergency heat running for long stretches

Emergency Heating Repair FAQs
Have a question that is not covered here?
What does an after-hours visit cost?
The repair quote fee is $189 after hours and $289 after 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., it’s $89 and waived if you go ahead with the repair. We confirm the exact charge when you book.
Do you repair heat pumps as well as furnaces?
Yes. We provide heating repair for furnaces, heat pumps, and electric heating equipment. Tell us what type of system you have and what it’s doing so we can arrange the right appointment.
What does "Emergency Heat" on my thermostat mean?
On a heat pump system, the Emergency Heat setting turns off the heat pump and relies on backup heat instead, often electric heat strips. It’s meant as a temporary measure while the heat pump isn’t working, and running on it for long stretches usually raises energy costs. If you switched to it because the heat pump stopped working, call us so the cause can be checked.
What happens if the system can't be repaired?
We’ll walk you through replacement options and give you a free new-system estimate. Same-day or next-day installation may be possible, depending on equipment supply and scheduling.
How can I stay safe and warm while I wait?
Layer up, close doors to unused rooms, and keep blankets handy. Never heat the home with a gas oven, stove burner, or outdoor grill, and keep generators well away from the house, because all of these can produce carbon monoxide. If you use an electric space heater, plug it directly into a wall outlet and keep it clear of anything flammable.
